Helen Flanagan seeks urgent treatment as she visits the GP in her pyjamas: ‘So painful’

Helen Flanagan has revealed she’s rushed herself to the doctors to get treated for a “painful” medical condition.

And poor Helen appeared to be in such a rush to get treatment that she didn’t even have time to get changed out of her pyjamas.

The health update comes after the Coronation Street actress enjoyed her festive break with her children and boyfriend Robbie Talbot.

Helen Flanagan shares health update

Today (January 3), Helen posted a picture from the doctors.

The shot showed the mum-of-three sitting cross-legged in her pink pyjamas. She told her followers: “Had to go [to] to the doctors in my PJs because I have such a bad water infection. So painful x.”

However, she assured her followers she was feeling better after seeing a doctor. In the next picture, she could be seen making a goal board for 2025.

The actress was thrilled about spending Christmas with her three children, whom she shares with footballer Scott Sinclair.

Helen said she and Scott take turns to spend the holidays with their kids. In 2024, it was her turn to have them for Christmas.

After coming out of a “toxic relationship”, she’s found love again with Robbie. She told The Mirror that Christmas was going to be all the more special and a “much happier one”. And she credits her “happy and healthy relationship” with Robbie for it.

Helen’s struggle with PMDD

Previously, Helen opened up about her struggle with premenstrual dysphoric disorder. It’s a severe form of PMS that causes drastic mood swings as well as other physical symptoms.

She also tried to treat the chronic condition with contraceptive pills in late 2023. However, it backfired, leaving her feeling worse.

Helen described her PMDD as a “nightmare”. She also said she might as well “throw” herself in the “bin” as she struggles to cope with the condition.

“It’s horrible with hormones as you can’t control what the hormones do to your brain,” the actress shared.

Detailing the mental and physical struggles she experienced during this period, Helen said: “Not wanting to leave the house, crying all the time, exhaustion (like a pregnancy kind of tired), focus and concentration really poor, even clumsy, irritated.”

However, she’s focusing on leading a healthier lifestyle to tackle PMDD symptoms. These include a nutritious diet, adequate sleep, limited alcohol consumption and regular physical activities.
